The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is the agency charged with protecting workers. This is the main OSHA web page. It has a great deal of information to go through on health and safety issues:

This is the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety webpage. Like the U.S. OSHA site it has information useful to workers on both side of the border:

Contract Services Administrative Trust Fund (csatf) administers the movie and television Industry Wide Labor-Management Safety Committee. The Safety Committee distributes Safety Bulletins which are recommended guidelines for the industry. Actsafe promotes workplace health and safety in the British Columbia performing arts and motion picture industries. Below find the links to the Actsafe home page and to their safety bulletin guidelines:

The Commission de la santé et de la sécurité du travail (CSST) is the Government of Québec organization entrusted with the administration of the occupational health and safety plan. For film and video guidelines, in French, use the second link:
